Be an Angel this Holiday Season
Make a donation to Gabriel House of Care’s Be an Angel Campaign this holiday season and have an angel with your personal holiday greeting for a loved one hung on our Angel Tree.
Your personal gift will ensure that our affordable lodging and Community of Healing programs continue in our mission to improve the quality of life for the guests we serve in their difficult journey through organ transplant procedures and cancer treatment. Read on to learn from our guests about their time at Gabriel House.

Angie & Betty
We are privileged to support remarkable individuals like Angie, who recently underwent a double lung transplant. Three and a half months after her surgery, Angie reflects on her time with us, describing how the staff and fellow guests have made her feel like family. Her mother and caregiver, Betty, shares the same sentiment, finding comfort and support in the community we've built. The bond formed among guests, all navigating similar experiences, has created a family-like atmosphere that has been integral to Angie’s healing journey. We are grateful to have been a part of their recovery and are inspired by their resilience and positivity.

Zach Briggs
We are honored to share the story of Zach Briggs, an extraordinary young Army veteran who embodies resilience and sacrifice. Having served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, Zach survived being shot five times, demonstrating remarkable courage and strength. During his stay at The Gabriel House, Zach took care of his father, an Infantry Desert Storm veteran who was waiting for a heart transplant but passed away in the hospital. As an organ donor, his father's legacy lives on through the lives he saved.
We are deeply grateful for their service and sacrifice for our country and were touched by the kindness they showed during their time with us. While Zach expressed his gratitude for the experience they had at Gabriel House, we want to express our appreciation for the positive impact they had on us. In honor, we create The Briggs Veterans Fund. This fund will cover a week's lodging for each veteran who stays with us, whether they are patients or caregivers, ensuring their sacrifices are acknowledged and their needs met. We are privileged to support such a special young man as Zach Briggs and others like him, carrying forward a legacy of service and bravery.
